Authorship and provenance

Editorial Process

I develop the arguments and remain responsible for the final content. AI tools assist with research, drafting, critique, editing, technical implementation, and visual production. Every published article and book chapter is reviewed and approved by me.

What AI assistance means here

AI participation varies by piece. It may help structure an early argument, challenge an assumption, organize research, improve clarity, prepare MDX, generate a diagram, or produce a hero image. A compact disclosure appears on content for which that provenance has been recorded.

The model is not treated as the author or as evidence. Model output is an editorial input. Factual claims still require appropriate sources, and I remain accountable for what is published under my name.

How production notes work

01

Models

The recorded model family or version used during production.

02

AI roles

The activities AI supported, such as critique, drafting, editing, or implementation.

03

Human review

The decisions, evidence, and final wording reviewed and approved by me.

04

Revision provenance

Book production notes change with the chapter version instead of implying one permanent model.

Limits of historical provenance

Exact model information was not consistently recorded for older articles and source drafts. I will not reconstruct those histories by guessing. Those pieces will be labeled only when reliable provenance is available. New AI-assisted work records this information as part of the publishing workflow.

Images and diagrams

AI-generated visuals are identified in production notes when used. Exact image-model versions are listed when the tool exposes them. When it does not, the disclosure says so directly. Diagrams implemented as code remain subject to the same human review as the surrounding text.
