Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how fiodar.ai ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you visit fiodar.ai (the "Site"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
We do not ask you for any personal information. This Site does not have contact forms, newsletter signups, or user accounts that would require you to provide personal data. The one thing we store on our own servers is the post voting record described below.
However, we use the following technologies that store data locally on your device or collect anonymized usage data:
Local Storage (Your Device Only)
We use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Theme preference: Whether you prefer light or dark mode
- Blog view preference: Your preferred layout (tile or list view)
- Read posts: Which blog posts you've already read
- Cookie consent: Your cookie preference choice
Post Votes (Only If You Vote)
Posts have thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons. When you vote, we store your vote together with a voter identifier, so you can change your vote and so each visitor counts once. The identifier is a SHA-256 hash of your IP address, your browser's user agent, and its language setting. We do not store the IP address, user agent, or language setting themselves, only the hash, the post, your vote, and when it was cast or changed.
The hash is not salted, so anyone holding both the stored value and your IP address and browser details could check whether a vote came from you. We treat it as personal data for that reason. It is kept for as long as the vote exists and is used only to count votes. If you do not vote, nothing is stored.
Cloudflare Web Analytics (All Visitors)
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, and we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It runs for every visitor, including those who decline cookies, because it does not set cookies or use your browser's local storage. It records aggregate page-view data such as:
- Pages visited
- Referring website
- Country
- Device type and browser
We see this only as totals, not as profiles of individual visitors.
Google Analytics (With Your Consent)
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Site. This collects anonymized data such as:
- Pages visited and time spent
- General geographic region (country/city level)
- Device type and browser
- Referring website
Google Analytics does not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information. You can decline analytics tracking via our cookie consent banner.
2. How We Use Information
The limited information we have access to is used solely to:
- Improve your browsing experience by remembering your preferences
- Understand general traffic patterns and popular content
- Count post votes, one per visitor
- Improve the Site's performance and content
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share any information with third parties. The external services we use are:
- Cloudflare: Hosts the Site, stores post votes in its database service, and provides the cookieless Web Analytics described above, for all visitors
- Google Analytics: Receives anonymized usage data (only if you consent)
- Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log requests
4. Cookies
We use a cookie consent banner to give you control over tracking:
- If you accept: Google Analytics cookies are enabled to help us understand site usage
- If you decline: No analytics cookies are set, only essential local storage for site functionality. Cloudflare's cookieless analytics still counts page views in aggregate
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
5. Third-Party Links
This Site contains links to external websites (social media, references, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
6. Your Rights
Apart from post votes, we hold no personal information to access, correct, or delete. You can:
- Ask us to delete your votes by writing to the contact address below. Because we hold only the hash, we can find your votes only by recomputing it, so we would need the IP address and browser you voted from
- Clear your browser's local storage to reset all preferences
- Use your browser's privacy settings to block cookies
- Decline Google Analytics via our cookie consent banner
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
