A living book

AI-Native Engineering Organizations

Designing teams, systems, leadership, and learning in the AI era.

32 chapters · About 3 hours

Fiodar welcomes readers to an open book unfolding into a connected engineering campus of teams, libraries, and workshops.

From the author

This book did not begin as a book. It grew from a series of articles, practical experiments, and recurring questions about what changes when AI becomes part of the software development lifecycle. Over time, the ideas started connecting into something larger: an operating model for AI-native engineering organizations.

The industry is still developing its next generation of practices. Some approaches will mature into conventions. Others will need to be corrected, refined, or replaced as teams gain more evidence. That is why this is a living book rather than a finished declaration. Publication dates, update dates, and chapter versions make that evolution visible.

I will do my best to keep it current as the technology, evidence, and practice mature. My hope is that it helps people, startups, and enterprises adopt these changes more predictably, avoid some unnecessary friction, and reach the next level with a smoother path than they might otherwise have had.

A living book. Chapter dates and versions record its evolution. The Northstar case and its numbers are fictional teaching examples.
